What is the amount of the grant?
You are eligible to receive up to a $5,000 grant. Only one hardship is eligible per grant application, and proof of need is required. Therefore, if you have a medical bill that exceeds $5,000, you can request up to a $5,000 grant and upload the statement that shows the balance due, as well as any other required information requested during the application process.
If you have a bill that is less than $5000, you can only request a grant that is equivalent to the need. For example, if you have an unexpected medical bill for $800, then you can only request a $800 grant. Please note that you cannot apply for more than one request per grant application. For example, you cannot submit a medical bill for $3000 and a car repair estimate for $2000 to receive the maximum grant of $5,000. In the scenario described, you would need to determine whether you want to submit a grant application for the unexpected medical expense or the qualifying auto expense.
How long will these grants be available?
Funds for this program are ongoing but limited and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are available.
Can I apply for more than one grant?
You can apply for one grant per rolling calendar year. A rolling calendar year will be based on the date you received your previous grant. For example, if you received a grant on December 1, 2025, you will be eligible to apply for another grant on or after the same date the following year.
